
Governor Ben Ayade lost his bid to become the senator for Cross River North in the parliamentary elections performed this last Saturday Saturday.
Mr. Ayade, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was shellacked at the polls by Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 76,145 votes. Mr. Ayade scored 56,595 votes,
