Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has sympathised with residents of Ilorin and some communities in the state who were affected by rainstorm and flooding on Thursday night.
In a statement on Friday, Governor AbdulRazq described the incidents as unfortunate.
He expressed sadness over the havocs the rainstorm wreaked on public and private properties, especially in Ilorin metropolis, Oke Ero, and some other areas.
The Governor commended the ongoing efforts by relevant government agencies to evacuate many fallen signposts and clear the highways for free movement of traffic.
He said the state government would collaborate with the Federal Government to continually tackle the challenges of flooding.
