Nigerian musicians Wizkid and Tems has emerged winners of the best Afrobeats Artist at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards held on Monday night, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
They beat competition from other Nigerian colleagues namely Burna Boy, Fireboy DML and CKay.
Lenny Kravitz hosted the 2023 iHeart Radio Award and has announced the international smash hit ‘Essence’ as winner.
Tems also scoop an award for the Best Hip Hop Song of the Best Collaboration for her contributions to Future’s ‘Wait For U’.
She was also nominated for Best R&B song for her hit single ‘Free Mind’ which lost to SZA’s ‘I Hate You’.
