
Fire Guts Part of Nigerian Air Force Base in Abuja

On Wednesday morning, a fire broke out in some buildings within the Nigerian Air Force Base along Airport Road in the Federal Capital Territory, causing panic among residents.
The cause of the fire outbreak that gutted the military base next to the Nigerian Correctional Service National Headquarters is still unknown as of press time, with no official statement yet from the Nigerian Air Force on the incident.
Federal Fire Service Battles to Extinguish Flames
However, operatives of the Federal Fire Service made a timely effort to put out the flames. Amiola Adebayo, the Head of Operations, FFF FCT, confirmed the firefighters’ presence on the site and stated that they are working hard to extinguish the flames completely.
“The fire gutted part of the NAF Base, and our men are here putting out the fire, and we’re working hard to completely quench the fire,” said Adebayo.
While firefighters continue to work at the scene of the incident, no official statement has been released by the Nigerian Air Force to shed light on the cause of the fire.
Adebayo stated that once their findings are concluded, a statement will be put out to the public. The incident has caused concern among residents and highlights the importance of fire safety measures and preparedness in critical facilities like military bases.
