

Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has this week announced the reinstatement of about 1,288 public school teachers that were sacked after a competency test in June of last year.
Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT),Kaduna State chapter did commend the state government for doing the needful for it’s affected members.
The Union say the move will help bridge the gap in the teacher-pupil ratio being experienced in the state’s public primary school system.
The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB), initially sacked 2,357 primary school teachers over the competency test that was done in June of 2022.
Around 2,192 teachers were laid-off for failing to sit for the test, while 165 for poor performance.
