Some youths from the southeast, under the aegis of the Igbo Mandate Movement Group (IMMG), wants President Bola Tinubu to balance his government with the involvement of young people.
At a press briefing in Enugu, the group’s national coordinator, Comrade Igboeli Arinze, urged the President to retain performing appointees of government inherited from the Buhari administration.
Comrade Arinze explained that involving youths in politics, would bridge generational gap and build a strong foundation for a sustainable democratic system in Nigeria.
While congratulating President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the 16th President of Nigeria, Arinze also noted that there were skilled technocrats in government who have introduced reforms and progress in their various assignments, and are willing to work with the present administration..
He listed some of the young outstanding appointees to include Ahmad Salhijo Ahmad of the Rural Electrification Agency, Paul Ikonne of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, and Inuwa Abdullahi of the National Information Technology Development Agency to the limelight.
”These are skilled technocrats in government who have brought about reforms and progress in their various assignments. Their youthful zeal and high-octane education have benefitted their various agencies.”
