Real Madrid have signed their long awaited target, Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for a English record fee of £115m.
The 19-year old Bellingham was a standout performer for England at the World Cup in Qatar and was also named the Bundesliga’s player of the season after Dortmund missed out on a first league title in 11 years on the final day.
He is expected to be presented as a Real Madrid player at a ceremony on Thursday.
With Real paying his initial fee, Bellingham becomes the second-most expensive English footballer after Jack Grealish, whom Manchester City paid Aston Villa £100m in 2021.
The English footballer is also Real Madrid’s second-most expensive signing, after Eden Hazard who moved from Chelsea for 115m euro in 2019.
