
A coalition of civil society groups from the Niger-Delta have commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointment of Public Officers who “have already begun to shape the nation’s Economy”.
Addressing a World Press Conference in Abuja, One of the Stakeholders, Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuci said the President had demonstrated “good leadership qualities” even with the real appointment of the Managing Director and CEO of Niger-Delta development commission (NDDC), Chief Samuel Ogbuku.
Chief Ikuci explained that the appointment of service Chiefs and election of principal officers of the National Assembly were an indication of the President’s stance on equity, justice and fairness, as well as strong determination to run an all inclusive administration.
A traditional ruler from the Niger-Delta region, Sara Igbe said the region had passed a vote of confidence in Chief Ogbuku and President Tinubu for their ability to develop the country.
Another Stakeholder, Jude Tabai expressed satisfaction that Ogbia persons had been appointed to head interventionist agencies, beginning from the Niger-Delta development Basin/Board to the Oil Mineral Producing Area Commission (OMPADEC) and now the NDDC.
