
The Ondo State government has expressed sadness over the tragic death of some residents in an explosion from a fuel laden tanker at Ore, in Odigbo local government.
At least 20 persons have been burnt to death following the explosion from a fallen petrol tanker whose content had spilled along the Benin-Ore-Sagamu Expressway on Sunday.
A statement from the commissioner of information, Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju says the government is devastated by the avoidable unfortunate tragedy, which is not only gripping, but mind numbing.

It commiserates with families of victims of the explosion and promised to reach out to them.
The statement, however, cautioned against the reported event of scooping oil from fallen tankers during which the tanker caught fire resulting in the tragedy.
The Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr Ezekiel SonAllah confirmed that eight persons died in the incident which happened last Sunday evening as residents scooped fuel from a fallen tanker.
Meanwhile, Acting Governor, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa has visited the scene of the incident to sympathize with the people of Ore.
