
Burkina Faso and Mali juntas have declared war on anyone who attempts to reinstate Niger President Mohamed Bazoum
This came after there was a threat form a regional bloc saying that it will take all measure if the President was not restored.

Chadian President Mahamat Idris Déby has on behalf of the West African bloc Ecowas mediated for the resolution of the crisis. .
France the former colonial power has announced that its citizens would soon be evacuated.
In their joint statement, Burkina Faso and Mali has threatened that if Ecowas intervened militarily, they would withdraw from the bloc and go to the defence of their eastern neighbor.
They said such an intervention would be disastrous and destabilizing.
Both Mali and Burkina Faso have made new alliance with Russia and has cut ties with France
ECOWAS has given the junta a week to reinstate the president.
Niger’ junta has not given in to the demand but has vowed to defend the country from any aggression by regional or western powers.
