Madonna says she considers herself “lucky” to be alive and grateful to her loved ones for their support after the she was hospitalized due to a bacterial infection, which forced her to postpone the start of an international tour.
Roughly a month after she was discharged from the hospital, she posted on her instagram acknowledge Love from family and friends, as a mother you can really get caught up in the needs of your children.
According to her manager, Guy Oseary, she had to postpone her planned tour after spending several days in an intensive care unit last month due to a serious bacterial infection.
The tour was supposed to begin on July 15 in Canada with guest, Bob the Drag Queen and end in Mexico at the end of January.
In her post, Madonna also wrote about her gratitude for her friend and longtime manager, Guy Oseary.
Madonna wrote that she sobbed when she received Oseary’s gift because “I realized how lucky I am to be alive.
And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone.”
Oseary announced in June that Madonna was in the ICU after developing a serious bacterial infection.
Earlier this month, the Grammy winner announced she was rescheduling the start of her international “Celebration” tour to October.
“Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me stay to finish doing my work,” she said in her post on Sunday.
