
Reverend Father Kagoma Foundation has empowered over 100 women with non- interest loans as business startup capital.
The Foundation trained beneficiaries on entrepreneurship and financial management as part of strategies towards building their capacity on business management to enable them grow their businesses effectively.
Founder of the Foundation, and Catholic Priest of Kaduna Archdiocese, Rev. Fr. Clement Kagoma stated this at the inauguration of the programme in St Mary’s Catholic Church Ungwan Boro, Kaduna.
He said the initiative followed the need to boost the business potentials of women and the vulnerable groups for them to be self reliant and productive for enhanced socio-economic growth and development of the society.
The Priest charged the beneficiaries who cut across different Catholic Women Organizations to use the resources given to them judiciously and to uphold the trust expended in them to ensure its sustainability.
One of the Coordinator of the Foundation, Mrs. Comfort Adamu from St Mary’s Catholic, Ungwan Boro noted that the women were given financial empowerment ranging from 20 to 50 thousand naira to start small scale businesses to assist themselves.
