Lawal collapsed immediately after entertaining some questions from the lawmakers.
Abbas Lawal from Kaduna State, is one of the three new ministers nominated by President Bola Ahmed Tinuhu on Tuesday.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio directed the shutting down of cameras as the session was televised live, while efforts are on to resuscitate the nominee.
