The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabiri Yusuf is to present the 2024 proposed appropriation bill to the state House of Assembly on Friday 27th October, 2023.
This was sequel to a letter from the Governor informing the Kano State House of Assembly (KNHA) of the proposed budget presentation.
Reading the letter, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ismail Jibril Falgore said the budget presentation was in line with constitutional provisions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
The majority leader L,awan Hussaini Dala, urged the lawmakers to adopt the resolution, that would pave way for the governor to present the 2024 appropriation bill, for the development of the state.
After careful deliberations, the House adopted a resolution and set Friday as the date for the presentation of the proposed budget estimate.
In another development, the House has received correspondence from the Assembly Service Commission on the nomination of the head of administration the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Magaji, as acting deputy clerk and permanent secretary of the House.
Reading the letter, the speaker Alhaji Isma’il Jibril Falgore pointed out that, the nomination was in line with constitutional provisions, that paves way for the appointment of the acting deputy clerk.
The House adopted and confirmed the appointment of the acting deputy clerk and permanent secretary Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Magaji.
The House adjourned its sitting to Friday October 27, in a motion moved by the majority leader Lawan Hussaini Dala.
