Joro, how are you? I hope things are okay and your work? Hope you are doing fine?
Joro, I notice you have been trying to reach me for the past days- and even on the few times you got to me had I hurriedly promise to get back to you but never did. As I claim my daily schedule is always hectic that I barely have time for other important issue.
Joro, this however has no justification, it is absolutely not ideal of me to treat you this way but I sincerely apologize that I have not been bold enough to see you or return your calls as at when due.
The project you mentioned to me that your are about to begin when we last spoke- have I also not forgotten joro. How is it coming up?
As anything which concerns you is one I greatly consider both financially and otherwise, but Joro, honestly speaking, times have been very unusual for me off late.
Where exactly are we going as a country? Our economy has become very bad. Inflation has become a stinky rotten wound that has continued to eat deep into our economy. Not to talk less on the removal of fuel subsidy which has become a big competition to our daily survival; the price of materials for production is alarming in the market. Businesses can barely meet up to production and even when they can, there’s a threat to cut down quality. This is absolutely absurd joro.
Should business owners now offer less quality to their consumers than they should because they are not sure if they can meet up to new prices?
The Naira is the most annoying out of the madnesses we are currently witnessing as a country, Joro, the Naira has totally become a shameless whore to the dollar, and CBN/FG isn’t working as hard as we want them to rather have they choose to adjust exchange rate to N1,356 to a dollar, making things most difficult for business men like us to clear our goods from customs. Not also to mention the Forex crisis, which has made CBN issue fresh and strict guidelines for international money transfer operators.
All these inadequacy by our government and leaders only but makes me wonder if they don’t share the same plight with the masses, perhaps they do but choose to to be ignorantly strict with their blind regulations regardless. We are in for a long ride joro, and I pray God help us soon, as it seem the only few lucrative venture that one can actually venture which can afford one a good living in the country is to be part of co**uprion. That is; either being a political thug, or a yahoo yahoo, or runs, or even jump on the current trend of Sportybet and bet9ja users. You see why Nigeria moved five places up in Transparency International (TI) corruption perception ranking?!
A lot is happening joro. This perhaps is the reason why I leave your calls unanswered most times, as I wouldn’t honestly know how to explain that I no longer can meet up to my promises because a lot is happening off late.
This joro, have I and your aunty and your cousins concluded that we would be relocating to Europe soon. We no longer see any reason to remain back when we know we have a better network should we work as hard over there like we work here. Already joro, our papers are all set as we now only await the due date in our plane ticket for departures.
And yes, we did not forget you Joro.
We have kept something very special for you.
My regards to your mother.
Yours sincerely
Uncle Bright
