The Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN, has said that the annual Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association is a veritable platform where lawyers gather to take stock of their Achievements and challenges as well as acquaint themselves with any trending issues in the legal profession.
Ohwovoriole stated this during a get together organized by the Delta State Ministry of Justice for lawyers of the state origin that were in Lagos for the 2024 annual Conference held in Lagos.
The Attorney-General was represented by the Director of Law Review, Research and Publications, Mr. Ijeoma Adigwe at the ceremony in Lagos.
Ohwovoriole said that the theme of the conference; ‘Pressing forward ‘ was apt considering the enormous challenges confronting the country, ranging from insecurity, economic and political.
He noted that notwithstanding the prevailing challenges, there was need for Nigerians to press forward, adding that such issues were not peculiar to Nigeria alone.
Ohwovoriole stated that the get together was designed to host lawyers from Delta State and reiterated that with the number of lawyers participating from Delta State, it was a proof of his commitment to effective leadership in the Ministry.
He described the new NBA president as a focusedgentleman and an articulate BAR man that would lead the Nigerian BAR to a greater height.
