The Delta State House of Assembly, during Tuesday’splenary, appointed and confirmed Otto Aghoghophia,Esq, as Clerk of the State House of Assembly, whileBarr. Smart Edoge became Deputy Clerk of the Assembly.
The Appointment and Confirmation was sequel to a motion of confirmation moved by the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi and seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Edafe Emakpor.
Barr. Aghoghophia became acting clerk of the State House of Assembly, immediately after the appointment of the immediate past clerk of the house Mrs. Lyna Ocholor as Principal Secretary to the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, while Barr. Smart Edogewas formerly the Director of the Legal Department of the House.
Congratulating the new clerk and deputy clerk,Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor urged the appointees to continue to show diligence in the discharge of their duties, and wished them the very best in their new office.
