
The National Coordinator, Eagle Watch for Good Governance (EWGG), Mr. Cletus Kwalekeme JP, has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressive Congress (APC) led administration for its systematic approach towards enhancing the welfare of the workforce.
Kwalekeme, who stated this in Asaba, the Delta State Capital while fielding questions from newsmen, said that the Tinubu administration should continue to engender checks and balances and ensure accountability.
He said that the administration has the interest of theworkforce at heart, adding that in demonstrating that, the President approved and implemented the N70,000 minimum wage for Nigeria workers just as he applauded the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for approving and implementing N77,500 for workers in the state.
Kwalekeme said that Governor Oborevwori was among the first among his colleagues to have implemented the new minimum wage which, according to him, had brought succour and relief to Delta workers.
While calling on civil servants in the country to redouble their commitment to service by being more productive, Kwalekeme explained that the Tinubu Administration would ensure checks and balances in order to sanitize the system for the overall benefits of the nation.
He reiterated that the President’s removal of the oil subsidy was a strategic approach to stabilize the economy and reminded Nigerians that there were a lot of benefits associated with the subsidy removal despite some teething challenges.
Kwalekeme, however, described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Nyesom Wike as a professional and pragmatic as well as a result-oriented administrator, saying that the former Rivers State Governor had brought his wealth of experience to bear in the transformation of the Federal Capital Territory.
He asserted that Wike has unblemished track records in all the positions he has served as a political appointee or as Governor, recalling that the efforts of the FCT Minister was giving the Federal Capital Territory a befitting look with several landmark projects.
The Eagle Watch for Good Governance National Coordinator pledged the support of his organization tothe Tinubu administration, stressing that there would be an overall turnaround in all critical sectors of the economy.
