As part of his effort to continue to fight crime inOgwashi-Uku, its environs and Delta State at large, the Isagba of Ogwashi-Uku kingdom, Chief Jude Ozah has donated three drones, three giant generators, three television sets and cash of one million naira each to theDelta State police Command, Area Command Ogwashi-Uku and the Ogwashi-Uku vigilante.
Presenting the items to the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, who was represented at the occasion by DCP Aina Adesola at Ogwashi-Uku, Ozah said that crime fighting is not for only security agents alone, but for all.
He said the purpose of the donation was to support the police and other security agents to fight crime in the state, adding that he had been supporting the police and other security agents here in Nigeria and America, saying that crime is not unique to Nigeria alone but the world at large.
Chief Ozah, who brought an American Army officer to train the Nigeria Police and other security agents on the usage of the equipment, called on the beneficiaries to take advantage of the training to perform their duties intelligently to ensure the reduction of crime in the state.
He said proper protection of lives and property of the people of Ogwashi-Uku, its environs and the state in general was his major concern.
Receiving the equipment, the police commissioner thanked Chief Ozah for his continuous support to the police and other security agents in the state.
He noted that Chief Ozah some time ago donated vehicles to the police and other security agents and now he is donating surveillance drones, power generators and television monitors, describing him as a great man that has the interest of others at heart.
CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, while saying that Chief Ozah took the bull by the horns by donating the security equipment worth millions of Naira, prayed toGod to continue to bless and protect him and his family.
The Police Commissioner said the gesture would go a long way in reducing the crime rate at Ogwashi-Uku, its environs and the state at large.
He called on other well to do individuals in the state to emulate Chief Ozah and also give needed support to the police and other security agents in the state to enable them perform their duties effectively.
The Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government council, Hon. Jude Chukwunwike, who declared the training open, commended Chief Ozah for his monumental contributions to the development of Ogwashi-Uku and the nation in general.
The Area Commander, Ogwashi-Uku area command, ACP Daniel Akpan, the Divisional police officers Ogwashi-Uku, CSP Monday Osayi, the Director General, Ogwashi-Uku clan Security Council (OCSC,) honourable Stephen Ezediunor at the occasion lauded Chief Ozah for the gesture, describing him as an uncommon philanthropist that has brought succour to many, home and abroad.
