
The immediate past Permanent Secretary, Ministries of Primary and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro has been described as an astute administrator and a great asset not only to the Delta State Civil Service, the state but humanity at large.
Chief Inspectors of Education for Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Samson Ugbejeh and his counterpart in charge of Ethiope East, Mr. Joseph Eghwujovwo stated this in Asaba while speaking with journalists on the sidelines of a grand reception after Mr. Oghoro’s retirement thanksgiving on Sunday.
They said that in terms of administration, the outgone Permanent Secretary had been able to effectively coordinate the Ministries of Primary and Secondary Education, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources and their staff to ensure that things were done accordingly.
While saying that Mr. Oghoro was a very good manager of human resources, Dr. Ugbejeh and Mr. Eghwujovwo stated that the outgone Permanent Secretary was a kindhearted, humble, unassuming and dependable personality.
They noted that Mr. Oghoro’s mentorship to staff of the Ministries of Primary and Secondary Education was quite enriching, adding that he is a man that always provided solutions to every problem brought before him.
Dr. Ugbejeh particularly recalled how one issue concerning him was brought before Mr. Oghoro for his input, stressing that the way the matter was resolved by the retired Permanent Secretary made him go home happy on that occasion.
They pledged to sustain the legacy of Mr. Oghoro in the Ministries of Primary and Secondary Education, assuring that they would be guided by his experience and advice at all times.
The duo congratulated him on his retirement and wished him success in his future endeavours.
