
Delta State Commissioner for Lands, Surveys and Urban Development Chief Goodnews Obiodeh has extended warm greetings to Christians across Delta State, wishing them a joyous and blessed celebration during the Easter season.
In a Press statement, Chief Obiodeh expressed his heartfelt felicitations to the faithful, citing the significance of Easter in the Christian calendar and prayed for peace, love, and unity to reign supreme in the state and beyond.
However, amidst the joyous celebrations, the Commissioner also acknowledged the devastating impact of the recent downpour that ravaged Ughoton, UgboKodo, and surrounding communities in Okpe Local Government Area of the state, expressing his deepest condolences to the families of those affected and assuring them of the government’s support and assistance.
“The government and people of Delta State stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Ughoton, Ugbo-Kodo, and other affected communities in Okpe LGA who have been affected by this natural disaster.
“The government will work tirelessly to provide relief and support to those in need,” Obiodeh said.
The Commissioner urged residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period.
