The Government and people of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have expressed grief and sorrow over the sudden and tragic death of Hon Friday Ohwoevworuemu, the Councillor representing the people of Uwheru Ward 16, who passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday.
In a statement released through his Press Secretary on Wednesday, the Chairman of Ughelli North, Barr. Jaro Egbo extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of Uwheru in Ughelli North Local Government Area particularly those in Ward 16.
Mourning Hon.Ohwoevworuemu, the Council Boss described him as an accomplished and charismatic leader, eulogizing him for his unwavering commitment and excellence in service during his time in the Council.
“On behalf of the Government and good people of Ughelli North, I mourn the loss of an exceptional politician who passed away today, Wednesday, April 23th, 2025.”
“He served with distinction and until his death, he was diligently involved in the legislative activities of the current 8th Assembly,” he remarked.
The Chairman lamented that his demise came at a time when his leadership was most needed, stressing that his absence would be deeply felt by both the Government and the people of Ughelli North.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and comfort to his family members in this difficult moment of grief.
