
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has further demonstrated his commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the state with the commissioning of cutting-edge medical equipment at the Warri Central Hospital.
The equipment includes eight Hemodialysis machines, 25 4D ultrasound scanning machines, and two CT scan machines, which will be strategically located across the state’s three senatorial districts.
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, in his welcome remarks lauded Governor Oborevwori for his integrity and visionary leadership, highlighting his unwavering support for the healthcare sector.
The Commissioner specifically appreciated the Governor’s approval of medical residents’ trust fund; a move he said would set Delta State apart from other states in the country.
Dr. Onjaeme also commended the Governor’s efforts in sanitizing the nursing profession, saying that his non-interference in the admission process was commendable, just as he urged other political leaders to emulate the gesture.
He said the Ministry’s efforts in admitting only the best in its Nursing institutions across the State would not be compromised.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, cut the tape commissioning the equipment which are expected to significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the state, providing patients with access to quality medical care and diagnosis.
The Hemodialysis machines will cater to the needs of patients with kidney-related ailments, while the 4D ultrasound scanning machines will enable expectant mothers to have clearer images of their unborn babies. The CT scan machines will facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Commissioning of these medical equipment marks a new era in healthcare delivery in Delta State, with Governor Oborevwori’s administration demonstrating its commitment to providing world-class healthcare services to the people.
