The newly appointed Accountant General (AG) of Delta State, Mr. Victor Okunbor has assumed duty, today, following the approval of his appointment by the state governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as part of measures to further strengthen the state’s fiscal policy thrust.
This is in accordance with a circular dated 5th June, 2025 and signed by the state’s Head of Service Dr. Mininim Oseji, wherein the appointment took effect from 5th June, 2025.
The circular also revealed that the appointment was expected to further motivate him to discharge his duties with utmost dedication in accordance with the Fiscal Responsibility Law and other responsibilities.
The immediate past AG, Mrs. Joy Enwa who was present at a mini reception organized in his honour in his office expressed her confidence in his ability to deliver his fiscal duties.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Okunbor was the Director (Accounts) and functioning AG.
