A Committee on Trade Unions, Professional Associations and Other Personnel Matters has been Inaugurated in the State Capital.
Addressing the Members.the Head of Service of Delta State, Dr ( Mrs) Mininim Oseji stated that issues relating to Trade Unions and several other Personnel Matters would be deliberated upon by them.
The Head of Service, who directed that members of the Committee should come up with a written ‘Terms of Reference ‘ that would incorporate issues that relate to workers in various MDAs, explained that the Committee was set up to review issues bordering on welfare packages for workers and several other personnel issues.
She disclosed that she has more confidence in the decision of a group, hence the panel was set up to discuss matters objectively and in an unbiased manner.
According to the Head of Service, “Such an approach would boost the morale of Public Servants and improve the image of the office of the Head of Service as being transparent and fair.”
Other Committee members include the Permanent Secretary, Office of the HOS, Mr Maxwell Ause, Functioning Permanent Secretary (Directorate of Establishment. and Pensions), Mr Kingsley Olumukoro, Mr Williams Ogolokpe and Mr Anthony Usenu, both directors in the office of the Head of Service.
