
The Ikejani of Okpanam Kingdom, Chief Felix Okafor has described late Mrs. Regina Ebigwei as a virtuous woman, whose contributions to humanity is worthy of emulation.
Chief Okafor, a renowned community leader and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Felinco Motors Worldwide, stated this in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State during the burial ceremony of the deceased, who passed away at the age of 85 years.
He said that as a peace lover, the late Mrs. Regina Ebigwei, nee Ada Ajoegbei, contributed immensely towards advancing unity among the people in the community, adding that the deceased was a God-fearing woman.
Chief Okafor, however, urged the good people of Okpanam community to always embrace peace and be truthful, stressing that it was disheartening to observe that the unity and love that existed among the people of Okpanam was no longer there.
He enjoined the children of late Mrs. Regina Ebigwei and the entire Ebigwei family to sustain the legacy of their mother.
Also speaking, the chairman of Ifedichie Age Grade Association, Mr. Godwin Nzemeke said that the deceased was a very compassionate and God-fearing woman.
While admonishing the children to take solace in the fact that their mother lived a good life that people are proud of up to when she passed on, Mr. Nzemeka stated that the deceased touched many lives positively.
In their separate tributes, the children of the deceased including Mr. Victor Chiwete Ebigwei, Prophetess Angela Ebigwei and Sharon Ebigwei among others said that their mother was a hardworking, strong and strict but a very loving woman.
They stated that their mother drew closer to God and showed strength and love to everyone around her until last days on earth, recalling that as a mother, the deceased wanted the best for her children and dedicated her life to ensure that her family was well taken care of.
The children promised to keep her memories alive by ensuring that her legacy was sustained, assuring that they would keep the family in fact in love and unity.
