
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the former Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Dame Nkem Okwuofu, on the occasion of her 75th birth anniversary.
In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori praised the nurse-turned-politician for her devotion, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the unity, growth, and development of Delta State.
The Governor expressed delight that Dame Okwuofu has remained a pillar of strength and support for the state’s development, even at an advanced age.
He celebrated Okwuofu’s remarkable life of service, describing her as a capable leader, brilliant administrator, and patriotic figure whose invaluable contributions, especially to Delta State and its people will endure for generations.
Oborevwori said: “On behalf of my family, the government, and people of Delta State, it is with profound joy that I congratulate you, our dear mother and leader, Dame Nkem Okwuofu, as you celebrate your 75th birth anniversary today.
“Having ventured into politics decades ago, you have earned the respect and admiration of many, not only as an accomplished nurse but also as a commissioner in various ministries.
“The Obomkpa–Ukwu-Nzu Road and the surrounding erosion control projects are just a few examples of the many infrastructural developments you attracted to your community, fostering growth and prosperity.
“I join your family and well-wishers in celebrating this milestone and in thanking Almighty God for His continued blessings, protection, and guidance upon your life.
“I also pray for your continued good health and wish you many more years of impactful service to God and humanity”.
