The Delta State Government has been lauded for its effective synergy with the National Examination Council (NECO) in ensuring seamless monitoring of the 2025 NECO examination in the state.
The State NECO Coordinator, Mr. Harry Uhunamure stated this while speaking with journalists shortly after monitoring the English Language paper in Asaba.
Uhunamure, who expressed satisfaction with the comportment and orderliness of the candidates writing the examination, noted that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education had been NECO’s dependable partner in the conduct of its examination.
He reiterated NECO’s determination to conduct timely and smooth examination, stressing that it had been the tradition of the examination body to be proactive by putting measures in place in order to mitigate any eventualities.
Uhunamure explained that materials for the English Language paper had been properly distributed to various examination centres across the state as early as possible to ensure that the examination commenced exactly from 10am as scheduled.
The NECO State Coordinator urged the candidates to desist from any form of examination malpractice, reminding them that examination malpractice does not pay but would impact negatively on their education and their future in particular.
Also speaking, the HOD from South-South zone and the NECO Examination Administrator for 2025 in Delta State, Mrs. Helen Adeneji advised the candidates to be focused rather than depending on examination malpractice.
Mrs. Adeneji told them that the only way to perform well in every examination was through adequate preparation just as she wished the candidates success in their examination.
It could be recalled that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education had deployed its staff to monitor the examination in various parts of the state.
