
As part of the ongoing efforts to promote peace and drive development under the MORE Agenda, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Delta State, Barr Harry ThankGod Trakiriowei held a productive meeting today with representatives of the Ejeme Aniogor community in Aniocha South LGA to address their long-standing concerns regarding electricity and also the planned protest.
Trakiriowei commended the community for their calm disposition, peaceful engagement, and admirable resilience in the face of persistent challenges. “Your commitment to dialogue, rather than disruption, is a reflection of the kind of civic responsibility encouraged across the state”
The Youth Commissioner said he was pleased with the outcome of the dialogue. “I am pleased to share that following the dialogue, the planned protest scheduled for tomorrow has been officially suspended. This outcome was made possible through sincere engagement and the intervention of key stakeholders who have remained committed to lasting peace and progress in the region”
