The atmosphere was charged with joy, gratitude, and renewed hope as the Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry (OPPM), Amukpe, Sapele, celebrated its 10th-year anniversary with an extraordinary show of generosity from its General Overseer, Apostle Daniel Ololo.
Themed “New Glory”, the anniversary was not just a spiritual gathering but a life-transforming event for many in attendance. Delivering his message, Apostle Ololo read from Luke 6:45, urging believers to live in alignment with God’s word and to let their actions reflect the faith they profess.
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil. Your heart determines your fruit. If you desire new glory, fill your heart with God’s truth and live by it,” he told the congregation.
Beyond the pulpit, the Prophet of God demonstrated his message in action through a large-scale empowerment programme that left many members in tears of joy.
Miss Elohor Anuke and Mr. Godpower Akpobome, both young members of the church, were visibly stunned when they were each presented with brand-new sewing machines. The gifts, Apostle Ololo explained, were to help them establish or expand their tailoring businesses, providing a sustainable means of livelihood.
In a gesture that warmed many hearts, breastfeeding mothers in the church were also remembered. More than 100 cartons of Indomie noodles were distributed to them as a token of care and support for their families.
The empowerment drive continued with the distribution of cash gifts totalling ₦5 million to members including Blessing Umukoro, Alero Lebuaragho, Lively Orumor, Godday Hannah, Abel Painilpa, Martin Isaac, Pastor Akpovwoba, Magdalena Ikpakpa, Florence Thinker, Maria Onomkpe, Jeffrey Omonigho, Ojigoho Fejiro and other. Each beneficiary, upon receiving their gift, expressed deep gratitude, with many pledging to use the support to start or strengthen their small businesses.
In recognition of his contributions to peace and community development, Apostle Ololo was presented with the “Peace and Security Ambassador in Africa” award by the Eye On Security Selected Team of Professional Newsmen. He also received a Lifetime Humanitarian Award, honouring his decade-long commitment to uplifting lives through both spiritual guidance and tangible empowerment initiatives.
Speaking on the motive behind the massive outreach, Apostle Ololo emphasised that the church’s mission is holistic to nurture both the spiritual and physical well-being of its members.
“When God blesses you with new glory, it’s not just for you alone. It’s for you to become a blessing to others. This is why, as a church, we must go beyond preaching the word to demonstrating God’s love in practical ways,” he said.
The anniversary service was punctuated by electrifying praise and worship, heartfelt testimonies, and prayers for the future of the church and its members. The choir’s performances and dramatic presentations further enriched the celebration, while visiting ministers joined in prophetic declarations over the congregation
For many attendees, the day was more than a commemoration; it was a turning point. As one beneficiary put it, “This is not just help; it is hope. Apostle Ololo has shown us that the church is a family that truly cares.”
Since its founding a decade ago, OPPM has grown into a strong prophetic and prayer ministry known for its charitable works and unwavering commitment to community development. With the “New Glory” anniversary now a landmark in its history, the church says it is ready to step into a new decade of greater impact.
