
Delta State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. Daniel Odigie has described Dr. Ejiro Ogheneaga as a good team player as he retires from the Service of the Delta State Government.
The Commissioner stated this at the send forth ceremony held in honour of the retired Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ejiro Ogheneaga by the management and staff of the Ministry on Friday.
The Commissioner described the retired Permanent Secretary as a dedicated and down-to-earth individual whose expertise would be highly missed.
Enumerating the different roles the retired Permanent Secretary played towards the growth and development of the ministry, the Commissioner wished he could have held him back.
In his words “We really appreciate all you did for us in the ministry, since the very day I came in as a commissioner till date your advice served as a good guide and I really wish I can hold you back.
“Your technical advice in areas especially where you felt I was not getting it right, really helped me a lot, I must say you are a good team player.”
In her remark, the Head of Service, Dr. Minimim Oseji, described the foundation the retired Permanent Secretary has laid as that of hard work, diligence and excellence.
She was optimistic that the services of Dr. Ogheneaga would be desired all over the world to facilitate projects and support programs because of the legacy he has left behind.

Responding, Dr. Ogheneaga charged all present to embrace teamwork, as he emphasized the undeniable importance of working together as a team.
Dr. Ogheneaga also mentioned that hard work pays as he assured the ministry of his availability whenever he was called upon.
The elated Permanent Secretary appreciated the Commissioner, staff and his wife for their supportive roles that led to his fulfilled years of service to the state government in various capacities.
Encomiums were poured on the celebrant for his immense contributions and selfless services from retired Permanent Secretaries, serving Permanent Secretaries, Directors as well as well-wishers and they wished him well in his future endeavours.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts to the retired Permanent Secretary by the Hon commissioner, ministry, groups and Individuals.
