
A grand reception was held in honour of Mrs. Victoria Fregene as she bowed out of the Local Government Service after three decades of dedicated and meritorious service.
Mrs. Fregene, who served as the immediate past Treasurer, Aniocha North Local Government Council, retired after 30 years of remarkable contribution to the Unified Local Government Service of Delta State.
In his address, the Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Chinye, represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kennedy Okoh, commended Mrs. Fregene for her outstanding service and invaluable contributions to the Council.
According to Hon. Chinye, Mrs. Fregene consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, resilience, and a results-driven approach that propelled progress within the Council. He described her as a solution-oriented officer who added immense value beyond the call of duty.
While praising her problem-solving skills, he noted that Mrs. Fregene was known for ensuring that tasks were diligently and successfully completed. He further affirmed that her positive impact and exemplary work ethic would be fondly remembered within the administration.
Earlier in the event, Mr. Chijioke Ugbolue, an Information Officer in the Council’s Information Unit and the Master of the Ceremony, described Mrs. Fregene as an embodiment of dedication, hard work, and excellence in public service. He particularly lauded her financial acumen, noting that she has set a high standard for professionalism in the department.
The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Raphael Uzor; his Deputy, Hon. Frank Iweka; Supervisors; Special Adviser to the Chairman, Hon. Ndubuisi Osemene; and the Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Elizabeth Ojefia, among others.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts to the retiring Accountant, Mrs. Victoria Fregene, in recognition of her outstanding service and commitment.
