Staff members of the Ughelli North Local Government Council, on Monday, held a welcome ceremony for the newly deployed Head of Personnel Management (HPM), Mrs. Judith Tetshola.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ughelli North Chapter, Comrade Nancy Enakireru, welcomed Mrs. Tetshola, expressing optimism that her leadership would strengthen cordiality between the Council leadership and workers. She further urged Mrs. Tetshola to ensure that everyone is carried along, ensuring that a positive impact is made.
Responding, Mrs. Tetshola expressed appreciation for the kind gesture, pledging to work harmoniously with all staff to enhance productivity and effective service delivery. She however mentioned that within a few days of assuming office, she has noticed a decline in staff attendance.
The new HPM urged workers to be more committed to their duties, stressing that regular attendance to work would ensure that the benefits and emoluments available to staff are evenly distributed. She called on all employees to show greater dedication to duty as part of their collective responsibility to the Council and the people of Ughelli North.
The ceremony ended on a positive note with staff pledging their unflinching support for the new HPM in achieving the Council’s goals.
