Officers in the Middle Management Cadre in the Office of the Head of Service have been charged with the responsibility of applying Information and Communications Technology on their jobs for a transparent and efficient public service delivery in the State.
The Head of Service of Delta State Dr (Mrs) Mininim Oseji who was represented by the Director of Training, Mr Michael Okocha gave the charge at the monthly in-house Capacity Building training program organized for members of Staff of the Office of the Head of Service and Directorate of Establishments and Pensions.
Emphasizing that the Lecture was part of an on- going effort to strengthen institutional capacity and improve service delivery across the public sector, the Head of Service advised participants to listen attentively and participate actively in order to effectively utilise ICT tools in their jobs.
Mrs Eunice Apu made a presentation on “E-Governance and Administrative Efficiency in the Nigeria Public Sector,” while Mr Ngozi Nwose spoke on the “Application of Information and Communications Technology to Public Administration ” with Special Focus on Middle Management Officers with Supervisory Roles.
The Director of Planning, Research and Statistics in the Office of the Head of Service, Mr Ejiro Eriakeme and the Director of Staff Training Center, Mrs Louisa Modebe were also in attendance.
