The Head of Service of Delta State,Dr (Mrs) Mininim Oseji, has commended civil servants for their dedication and contributions to the state’s workforce.
She made this remark at a two-day Pre-Retirement Training Program in Asaba, aimed at equipping participants with skills and knowledge for a smooth transition to post-retirement life.
Dr. Oseji emphasized that retirement is a new beginning, an opportunity to explore new horizons and pursue long-held passions.
The training program covered personal financial planning, entrepreneurship, Time Management and Wellness, with the goal of empowering participants to navigate this life transition with confidence.
The Head of Service thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for supporting the event and encouraged participants to actively engage in the training, building relationships and creating lasting memories with colleagues.
In their separate presentations, the Functioning Permanent Secretary in the Directorate of Establishments and Pensions, Mr Kingsley Olomukoro and the Principal Consultant, De- Daf and Associates, Engineer Esedafe Solomon emphasized on the need for Participants to take the training program seriously as it was designed to enable them plan and prepare early for retirement.
They enjoined them to listen attentively and participate actively in order to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies in personal financial planning and entrepreneurship.
