The Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has commended the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Delta State Command, for its dedication to duty during and after the recent Yuletide season.
Deaconess Oborevwori gave the commendation on Tuesday when she received the new Sector Commander of the Corps, Mrs. Joyce Alexander, who paid her a courtesy visit at Government House, Asaba.
She lauded the Sector Commander and her team for their proactive approach to road safety, particularly along major highways and within urban centres, noting that their visible presence contributed significantly to the reduction of road mishaps during the festive period.
While introducing her pet project, the You Matter Charity Foundation, to the visiting officers, the Governor’s wife reaffirmed her commitment to partnering with the FRSC in creating sustained awareness on road safety, stressing that the preservation of lives and property remained a shared responsibility.
She also called for continued support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as he advanced his MORE Agenda, highlighting the recent Otovwodo ground-breaking as a major step towards urban renewal, improved road infrastructure and enhanced economic activities across the state.
Responding, the Sector Commander, Mrs. Joyce Alexander, described Delta State as unique, noting that the operations of the FRSC thrived on strong collaboration with critical stakeholders.
She solicited the cooperation of the Governor’s wife and her foundation in amplifying road safety messages, emphasizing that every life mattered on the road.
The highlight of the visit was the exchange of souvenirs between Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori and the FRSC delegation.
