The Head of Service of Delta State Dr. Mininim Oseji has emphasized the state’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and sustainable procurement processes.
She made the remarks while flagging off a 3-week certification course on Procurement, Environmental, and Social Standards in Asaba, organized by the University of Benin and Delta State Government.
The program aims to equip civil servants with skills for international-standard procurement, environmental, and social practices, promoting value for money and sustainable development. Dr. Oseji urged participants to share experiences and apply knowledge in their MDAs.
The training addresses gaps in transparency, accountability, and project sustainability.
Other Speakers at the event including the State Coordinator, Mrs Jessica Okediadi, leader of the team of resource persons, Professor Sylvester Osuji and the Functioning Permanent Secretary in the Directorate of Establishments and Pensions,Mr Kingsley Olomukoro, emphasized the need for continuity and capacity building for responsible public service delivery as the application of knowledge gained would strengthen the system within the State’s MDAs.
