As part of efforts to ensure effective implementation, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, on Wednesday, 4th February 2026, carried out a supervisory visit to health centres, temporary fixed posts, and schools across the state.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Executive Director of the Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Paul Yinkore, alongside other key partners
At the Mother of Perpetual Help Nursery and primary school, West End, Asaba, the commissioner for health demonstrated the administration of the Measles and Rubella vaccine.
He inspected their finger markings to confirm that they had been vaccinated, thereafter presenting branded notebooks to the children.
Onojaeme encouraged the health workers for ensuring that children are saved from vaccine preventable diseases while appealing to parents and caregivers to avail their children of these opportunities
