The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Monday take on the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau to seek a place in the African Cup of Nations next year.
The Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau stunned the Super Eagles in the first leg encounter at the Moshood Abiola Staduim in Abuja by a lone gone.
Guinea Bissau’s striker, Mama Balde tucked the ball away in the 29th minute to beat Nigerian Goal keeper, Francis Uzoho, thereby leap-frogging the Super Eagles at the top of Group A with a point.
The Super Eagles Coach, Jose Peseiro, who has not won in his last four matches, has called for calm and blamed the defeat on ill-luck.
“We missed many goals. We could have been here for another hour and not scored. Sometimes it happens in football.” Paseiro told Journalists.
Guinea Bissau top Group A with seven points, and a defeat against the Super Eagles on Monday will further put a dent on their chances of qualifying for the African Cup of Nations, AFCON next year.
