Police operatives in Zamfara has rescue nine kidnap victims who were abducted from Goran-Namaye village of Maradun local government area.
According to a statement on Monday by the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Yazid Abubakar, on 3rd June 2023 at about 8:14pm West Africa Time, the operatives received information from the District Head of Gora Namaye village that nine Children both male and female who were sent by their parents to fetch firewood at the nearby bush were abducted.
It said on receiving the report, a nearby joint police and other security agencies mobilized to the scene and commenced search and rescue operation which resulted in the rescue of the children.
It also said the victims have been reunited with their families.
The statement added that efforts were still on to trace the hoodlums for prosecution.
