
The Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu has approved a comprehensive reverification exercise for civil servants, in line with his administration’s desire to reposition the state civil service to effectively deliver on its mandate.
According to the directive, all civil servants must present themselves for screening and documentation in the office of the Secretary to the State Government.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Ogbeche, the governor also directed the revalidation of all promotions implemented in the last six months.
It also directed the suspension of the ongoing recruitment into the state civil service until further notice.
