President Bola Tinubu says poverty and insecurity are priority areas for his administration, stressing that he will do all that is required to address them.
The President stated this during a telephone conversation with the President of the European Council, Mr. Charles Michel.
President Tinubu therefore called on the European Union to collaborate with Nigeria and Africa to strengthen security and economic development to alleviate poverty on the continent.
He said Nigeria and the whole of Africa would require the help and partnership of her friends and development partners like the EU to address the excruciating poverty on the continent.
The EU Council President congratulated President Tinubu on his election and pledged the commitment of the Council towards stronger cooperation and partnership with Nigeria.
Mr Michel urged the President to continue to work with the EU in all relevant areas.
