His eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar has declared today Monday the 19th of June 2023 as the first day of Zulhajj 1444 after hijira.
In a statement signed by the Chairman Advisory Committee on Religion Affairs, Sultanate Council Sokoto State, Prof Sambo Wali Junaidu says the 28th of June 2023 equivalent to Islamic calendar 10th of Zulhajj shall be the day of this year’s Edilkabir celebration.
The Sultan felicitates with the Nigerian Muslims and wishes them ALLAH guidance and blessings.
The Sultan also appealed to the Muslims to continue to pray for peaceful co-existence for security and economic development of the country.
