
The Kebbi State Government has distributed relief materials to over 3,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Mahuta in Fakau Local Government of the state to alleviate their sufferings.
The State’s Deputy Governor Umar Abubakar who sympathised with the victims of recent bandit attacks pledged to provide adequate security to tackle the insecurity bedeviling the area.
“We will not tolerate such activities. We will take all necessary actions to make sure you get back to your homes immediately.,” he said.

The Deputy governor who represented the State Governor Nasir Idris warned against spreading rumors and false information which according to him could further instill fear in the people.
Earlier, the Chief of Fakai Alhaji Muhammad Hudu Dan Malam thanked the Government for the concern and relief assistance.
He said about 50 villages were affected by banditry with thousands displaced from their settlements and appealed to the State Government to hasten measures to enable the IPDs return to their homes to enable their children to continue with their studies.
