National Youth Service Corps has urged corps members in Lagos state to seek medical care through the National Health Insurance Scheme.
Mrs.Yetunde Baderinwa, NYSC Coordinator, Lagos State, stated this at the conclusion of the 2023 Batch B stream one orientation course conducted at the NYSC temporary orientation camp, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos state.
She explained that the health of every Corps member across the country was critical to the administration of NYSC, thus the Federal Government’s decision to include Youth Corps Members in the Health Insurance Scheme.
Mrs Baderinwa said the scheme had provided a better access to public health care for the Youths Corps members.
She implored employers of labour to provide safe landings for corps members assigned to their organizations, to enable them settle down and contribute effectively to the development of their host communities.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu urged the corps members to make significant contributions to the social and economic growth of Lagos State.
