
Head, Publicity and Protocol Committee of the ongoing 2023 Batch “B” Stream II Orientation Course exercise in the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja, Mrs Omolola Aladesoun has told the corps members at the course today of their role as image-makers of the scheme.
Mrs Aladesoun who made this exposition in a Public Relations lecture, revealed that corps members play a vital role in ensuring the image of the scheme is not battered through their attitude and their appearance in their places of assignment.
On dressing, she told the corps members to always dress appropriately in the NYSC uniforms given to them, and dress decently when not in NYSC uniform. She urged them to at all times be of good behaviour and be good ambassadors of the scheme, noting that the attitude they exhibit will either smear the image of the scheme or put it in good light.

In an enlightening lecture held at the NYSC orientation camp in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, Mrs. Omolola Aladesoun, the head of publicity and protocol on camp, emphasized to the corps members that they serve as the image-makers of the NYSC.
She highlighted the role of the public relations office in this regard, emphasizing that both NYSC staff and corps members share the responsibility of establishing and upholding a favorable reputation for the scheme.
Also, highlighting the functions of the Public Relations office of the scheme in the State level, she said the unit is saddled with the task of producing and giving out publications to corps members which are Orientation Guide and End of Service year magazine, which is “Eko Kopa” and other publications as deemed necessary for corps members’ use. She said the unit is also responsible for the issuance of Identity cards to corps members on camp and outside camp.
