
The Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Chief Peter Uviejitobor says that the state government is ready to partner with relevant stakeholders in the oil and gas industry for sustainable development of the state.
Uviejitobor disclosed this, Monday,while playing host to the Independent Crude Oil Marketers Association (ICOMAN) led by its Chairman, Comr. Paul Okperovwe in Asaba.
He assured them that the government would ensure the state maintains its position as the highest oil producing state in the country.
Earlier, the Chairman of ICOMAN, Comr. Paul Okperovwe, said they would collaborate with the state government, security agencies and all relevant stakeholders in the oil and gas sector to increase oil production in the state to boost the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Okperovwe added that the association was ready to work with security agencies to reduce oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the state. Adding that, they would report any illegal activities to the right authorities.
