As the world marked the 2024 World Teachers’ Day onSaturday, the Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon Vincent Oyibode, has extended heartfelt congratulations to all teachers in Udu for their invaluable contributions in shaping lives through their noble profession.
In a press statement made available to news men in Udu by his Chief press secretary Henry Ubus, Oyibode commended the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Udu, Comr. Johnbull Gbejegbe, along with all Udu educators, for their tireless efforts in molding characters and imparting knowledge.
He emphasized that his administration deeply values the services of teachers and assured them that education remains a top priority in Udu.
“Education makes life easier,” Oyibode stated, expressing his commitment to fostering educational growth in Udu to uplift future generations.
He also acknowledged the immense dedication of Udu teachers in nurturing young minds and reaffirmed his pledge to support and improve the education sector.
World Teachers’ Day, established by UNESCO in 1994, is celebrated annually on October 5 to honor teachers worldwide for their significant contributions to society.
