
The Chairman of the Board of the Delta State Oil-Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Olorogun John Nani has described the late Taleb Tebite as a man with a sacred heart whose generous hands were full of kindness.
He made this remark yesterday at Orchid Hotel, Asaba,where notable personalities from all walks of life, both in the State and outside, gathered for the valedictory service tagged, “The Night of Tributes in honour of late Hon. Olorogun Taleb Tebite.”
Olorogun Nani said the late Executive Director, Projects, DESOPADEC, was one who impacted in capacity building and affected lives with the resources within his limits and admonished his family members to keep up the legacy.
The MD/CEO of DESOPADEC, Chief Festus Ochonogor described the late Taleb Tebite as a pragmatic man who did a lot to ensure that there was stability in the Commission, which was very critical in ensuring that there was always peace amongst them, stating that he was involved in troubleshooting and peace building as well as initiating programmes that impacted in the mandate areas.
Emphasising that Hon. Tebite’s death was so devastating and painful, he enjoined the Management and staff to take solace in the will of God.
The Executive Director Finance and Administration, EDFA, DESOPADEC, Chief Oghenekome Okpobor, also speaking, went down memory lane, narrating how the late Tebite impacted him and all others who came his way, describing him as peace personified.
Members of the 4th and 5th Assembly of the Delta State House of Assembly where the late Tebite served the State as a member were also on ground to speak.
Hon. Victor Ochie, while giving his speech, described the late Taleb Tebite as an epitome of generosity who was selfless when it came to giving and impacting lives. He enjoined everyone present at the occasion to emulate the good qualities of the late Tebite in impacting lives.
The present serving House of Assembly Members led by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor,also described the late Tebite as a man who had an unwavering heart of generosity; who left an indelible mark in the heart of everyone who encountered him. He said he was a legislator par excellence and an astute politician who served the people of Okpare Olomumeritoriously.
Present at the occasion were the State PDP Chairman, Chief Solomon Areyenka; Secretary to the State Government, SSG; Hon. Eric Joe; Hon. Julius Egbedi; Dr. Charles Olisa; Mr. Ovbije Sylvester; Surv. Azuka Enebeli, Chief Victor Egbo and a host of others.
