The Chief Inspector of Education, CIE, in charge of Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State, Deaconess Lady Emiliana Djoma has described her ordination by Faith Lifters Assembly as a call for more service to God and humanity.
Djoma stated this in Asaba after her ordination as a Deaconess with others at the Faith Lifters Assembly also known as Testimony Chapel, Asaba.
She stated that there were so many gratifications in serving God, adding that it was her second ordination having been ordained a Deaconess in Warri many years ago.
The CIE, who appreciated the church for finding her worthy to serve as a Deaconess, promised to intensify her relationship with God and continue to impact on lives, especially the less privilegedin the society.
Earlier, Adesoji Kolawole Olanrewaja of Winners Chapel, Asaba, urged the 22 newly ordained pastors, deacons and deaconesses to see their ordination as God’s privilege in their lives and should not be abused at any time, just as he also reminded them that ordination was not a reward.
Speaking on the purpose of ordination, Pastor Olanrewaja enjoined them to get themselves acquainted with their duties as ordinand ministers, stressing that God had a divine purpose for their ordination.
He explained that ordination was a process that elevates ordinary church members to a position of leadership with certain responsibilities that would be assigned to them from time to time and admonished them to carry out their assignments with utmost humility and dedication.
In his remarks, Pastor Sam Olasupo, the head pastor of Faith Lifters Assembly revealed that ordination was a spiritual empowerment, noting that they must be ready at all times to serve God as they had been found worthy of the recognition.
He said that the newly ordained pastors, deacons and deaconesses went through one month training to prepare them for the task ahead, emphasizing that their ordination was an indication that they were useful to God and the church in particular.
